1 year portraits!

It is really hard for me to believe that my baby will be one year old in less than week. I have known for quite some time that Samantha isn't a baby anymore. She walks, talks eats real food. But becoming a toddler - it is just insane for me to wrap my head around it. This year has gone by so fast (not if i look back to my pumping days - i thought those were never going to end!). We took Samantha to get her Christmas photos and One year photos over at Portrait Innovations. She was in the best mood until they called us to take the Christmas Photos! But by the time we changed her outfit and took some one year shots - she was in a much better mood. Here are a few of the unedited shots...

Traditions

We have been trying to start some family traditions, especially around the upcoming Holidays. This weekend we went to Greenfield Village to their Holiday Nights and had such a fun time! We hope to make this a family tradition and every year it will become more fun because Samantha will actually understand what is going on! They really put on a nice display and you really do feel like you go back in time! We missed the fireworks but hopefully we can see those next year! Here are a few shots:)

New Camera!

Well, since the old Cannon was lost or stolen we decided to get a new D-SLR. It came in the mail today and Rob charged up the battery so it would be good to go when I got home from work. I played with a few settings but am going to need to read the book and look online to really understand all the fun settings. Here are a few shots I took tonight - so happy to have a camera back - I missed taking photos of my little munchkin!

Samantha and Daddy all smiles when Mommy gets home from work!

Talking to Aunt Laura on the phone!

We would never ship you away Samantha! She loved the clothes we got her online and pulled them out one by one and wanted to play in the box

Holiday Magic Parade!

Well, my camera was lost or stolen - so I do not have any photos to share. However, we were at the Royal Oak Holiday Magic Parade over the weekend and the local tribute got a little clip of Samantha with her friends.

Samantha is in the red coat with the puppy ears hat on. We had a really nice morning cheering on Santa - the kids were adorable and Samantha wanted to join in the parade - she kept walking off to join in! Emily and Cassie were taking photos, so once I have some I will post;)

On the camera front - we ordered a new one - Merry early Christmas to me! It is alot "fancier" than I am used to - so hopefully we can get the hang of it quickly and start updating the sweet life more regularly!

Swim Class!

Samantha's first swim class was a blast! It was so fun to see all the little babies in the water. Samantha was her usual calm self, and her friends Juliana and Macy seemed to really be enjoying the splashing. We tried to learn how to float on our bellies and back, kick and splash. We are so happy we signed Samantha up for the class and really look forward to Sunday evenings now:). Here are some photos from the first class:

The sweet life begins!

I have always wanted to create a blog to document certain events going on my life. Whether it be to share memories with family and friends, or to use as a diary of sorts. I figured I would finally start today on thie beautiful fall daylight saving day!

Samantha and Rob are napping on the couch before we take Samantha to her first swim class tonight. I still can not believe she is almost a year old! We took some cute photos in the yard today after we had a nice morning at church and out to our favorite breakfast spot, but before Rob raked today. She loved playing with the leaves and even stood up and walked one whole house down the street before she wanted to turn around. I told her that pretty soon she will be running down 5 houses to play with Keenan:)

Here are a few of the photos:

My hope is that this will get more interesting as time goes on - and hopefully I can have lots to fill you in on that is going on at the Kelley household:)
